The Young Ones

The youngest are in three stages of this nasty illness now. We've had high fevers and coughing for three days and two doctor's visits. Today's visit was all three of them and H (her eye is infected now but it's minor). I believe we have paid for the doctor's three children's tuition to their private school this month. The doctor's children have been sick as well as himself and his wife ( a pediatrician). This crud does not discriminate. B and A2 have bronchitis. B is severe and A2 is moderate. The Boy is just starting with the fevers and coughing. So now the nebulizer is being used by the girls along with all the other prescriptions we had. It is a chorus of coughing in this house and there is no rest. I remember being this worried when my girls were this small but they were younger in age. Sometimes I forget the youngest are eleven because they are so small. The Boy is a whopping 67 lbs and the largest of the three. We will persevere. I keep teasing them and they take it well. They are enjoying hot tea with honey and whatever I can tempt them to eat. That means if B says a Popsicle for breakfast she's getting it. She has barely eaten anything and I have to remind her to keep drinking fluids. A2 and the Boy are better at remembering. It's been a long week. I'm so thankful the doctor keeps fitting us in. I told him thank you over and over and he finally said "I have expensive children and it's my job to keep you guys healthy." He's a good guy.
A made a beautiful dinner last night of corned beef, potatoes and cabbage and I contributed soda bread. He's a good cook that man of mine. I think I'll keep him.
The two Ks have to find 15th century recipes to cook for language class on Friday. Their research isn't turning up recipes for food they think the class will eat. I am going to do some research myself because there has to be something they can make. I've been listening to them practice Romeo and Juliet again. They are obsessed with it. It's good for a laugh when they ad lib. I'm off to research. I hope all my friends are staying well and thank you for such sweet thoughts. They mean so much to me.

What about honey butter or some sort of baked tart?

Hope everyone feels better soon.

They are still sick! You must just be so tired by now and I hope they will get better soon. You just make sure you try to get enough vitamins in so that you will not get sick too.

Ok, still in the dark...are the twins your children or step-children? How many did you give birth to??? I sure hope they are all feeling better soon.

I finally slept last night thanks to Prince Ambien! Actually got up this morning and had about a half an hour of pain free time!!!

What are your plans for the weekend? Todd is going up north to see a childhood friend so I will be missing him. In case you haven't noticed...we are joined at the hip!

Love You Babe!
