We had 3 at one point. Three cameras. I cannot find one. We adults have our own but that doesn't stop the "masses".
Yesterday, it was hectic. Oh, did I mention that the Boy's cake was supposed to be auctioned? Did I mention that it was supposed to be nice? NOPE. WHY? I couldn't have because no one told me!! He got one bid! One bid! It was from his scout master and it was for $2. Oh yeah, there were cakes. Cakes that looked like camp grounds with burning fires and baseball fields. Nice cakes and some that were questionable but still better than the Boy's. The Boy made his own unlike the others. He came home with his cake and home to a house full of hungry sisters. Sisters who loved his cake and told him "thank you". I was proud of him. Today, he is feeling under the weather. He was tired before his banquet and fell asleep after getting home. I'm thinking a "tiny" germ has hit but he's a trooper. I told him "Next year, we are going big! You let me do it- okay? I can do big!" K has volunteered her baking abilities for the job and that's nothing to sneeze at. She makes one heck of a cake. She will not wash a dish but she will bake, bake, bake.
Anyway, I will post some photos when the camera is found. The Boy took most of them last night so it will be fun to see t
he evening through his eyes.

I just want to make sure I'm following the story. He made his own cake, be it a not so wonderful cake compared to the cakes made by, let's be honest the other boys mothers. And he only got one bid? You didn't even bid on the cake? LOL! Next year aim for a Huge Double decker t-pee cake. with moving parts. that'll show those other scouts. which after all is the true meaning behind scouts. LOL!
Parent's couldn't bid on their own cakes. Not fair really. I know his had to taste better than the WVU football made out of some kind of cereal mix. And I'm sorry but the rel fire is just scary.
Never did scouts, but had many other opportunities to encounter "parent projects."
Sorry, for Brenden, but I think the girls lucked out. Remember, it's not what's on the outside that counts: It's what' on the inside. :)
Brendens cake is awesome. I think it's a shame when the parents make the kids' projects/cakes. The parents should be honest. What a horrible example to their kids!
Your boy is learning the best lessons. Good job.
Brenden's cake is just lovely!
I so agree with Beth. It is not what is in the outside, it is what is in the inside. So true.
