Falling In

I think West Virginia is at her prettiest in the Fall.

Ooh, do you always get those gorgeous colours? In the UK it is dependent on whether we get any early cold snaps, and we don't have maples as native, so sometimes it can be horridly green. Which is not like 'proper' autumn as in your lovely photos.

Oh Cathy - how beautiful. We hear so much over here about New England in the fall, but not West Virginia - it looks so very exciting.

I saw the maple trees and dogwoods had started to change color on the way to work yesterday. I had to look for photos to show what a beautiful quilt of colors we get in the Appalachian mountains. The next few weeks will turn everything beautiful.

How I hate not being there now.

We used to make a point of driving Skyline Drive in the fall, and camping for at least a few days in Pocahontas County. Bliss!
