Vandalia

It was a beautiful day! I got to finally meet Granny Sue. I read all of her posts! She and her husband were at the Storytellers Tent and they are so sweet. A highlight of my day because I got to talk gardening!

Al sat in the Blessings Chair.

Beautiful capital and that is real gold on that dome.

Quilters and Musicians. Everywhere you look people are standing around and making music. Bring your fiddle and join in.

Artisans set up around a fountain on the ground. I love the hands but my daughters find them creepy.
Dancing inside the Cultural Center as well as outside. There are many of Scottish descent in West Virginia including myself.

We watched the square dancing while eating lunch.

It was a wonderful day. We didn't have children to look after and we walked around for nearly four hours just enjoying ourselves. I hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

I wanted to go there, but didn't get the chance, maybe next year. Glad you got to meet Granny Sue. We're in a writing group together and she's great. I'm of Scotch-Irish descent, too.
