That's me today. I have been talked into making my niece an antebellum ball gown by Tuesday. This means mailing it by Monday! The woman who was supposed to make the dress backed out and my niece's play is next week. Deep breath. She is playing Zachary Taylor's wife at his inauguration. Margaret Taylor was an older woman with grown children. She did not (this is what I read on the Smithsonian site) attend the actual ceremony so there is no record of what she wore that day. She was very much a "stay in the background" kind of woman. Lord, what my mother talks me into. So... I am off to find a pattern that I can work with since my niece is a size 10/12 in girls and materials. It's weird I have a stress headache and a rush at the same time. I have never made an antebellum gown before much less girl size. Oh yeah, there will be photos if I pull this off.
Found the materials I want to use!

Good luck, you are a great Aunt to do this for her!
Good luck and I am so confident in your skills...you will have a wonderful finished dress in your hands before you know it.
The materials look beautiful - the finished project will be perfect, I'm sure of it. You are great at everything you touch.
